Consultant profile

  • I am currently doing a PhD at the University of Sussex in the Department of Education. I am examining how the policy of decentralisation emerged and how it is mediated by actors at various levels involved in the delivery of pre- and primary education in Benin (West Africa). Previously, I worked in various positions for almost four years in Benin on behalf of German-Beninese cooperation. Recently, I supported the local school authorities with regard to the de-concentration/ devolution interface. I have a Master’s degree in Project Management for Development Cooperation and a bachelor’s degree as an elementary and secondary school teacher. I have focused on educational administration, sector decentralisation, sustainable and global education in my work; however, monitoring & evaluation, in particular, results-based monitoring according to the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GmbH) GIZ guidelines are my methodological preferences, which I specialized in for my master thesis and in my various employment settings.

"Eva has supported us in the design and implementation of our results-based and web-based monitoring. She has analytically, systematically and reliably worked and encouraged us always to keep going. Her ideas and reflections, the maintenance of the results-based monitoring and the impact model were a great help in the project management and implementation."

I know Eva as an advisor for the educational project in Benin on behalf of the German Development Cooperation in the period of 2011-2013. She coordinated, among other things, the interface to the decentralization program: very competent and engaged. I highly recommend her.“
